Printing from the Item Tracker

The Item Tracker is where you print the paperwork
that goes with production — order forms, cake tickets, production
labels, and more. You can print for one item or for a whole batch.


Single vs. All
Every print action comes in two flavors:

• Single prints for the one item you have selected.


• All prints for every item you've tagged. Tag the items first, then choose an All action.

What you can print

• Order Form — the order form for the item's order.


• Order Receipt — the combined order-form-and-cake-ticket printout for the order.


• Cake Ticket — the decorator's ticket for a custom cake, with its decorating details.


• Print All — prints the full set of
  documents for the order in one go: order form, cake ticket (for custom
  items), receipt, packing slip, and wedding confirmation where they
  apply.


• Production Labels — labels for the items,
  so each one is identified as it's made. You can sort the labels by
  product, order number, department, or category, and (if your shop is set
  up for it) print one label per unit of quantity.


• Order by Department — a production routing printout that groups an order's items by the department that makes them, with barcodes for tracking.


• Item Tracker List — prints the on-screen list exactly as you've filtered and sorted it. Handy as a paper worklist for the day.

Preview and print
Depending on your device and settings, printing either sends straight to the printer or opens a preview
first (as a PDF on a tablet, or a print preview on a computer). Preview is a good way to check you've got the right items before committing paper.

Tips

• Filter and tag before a batch print so you print exactly the set you mean to, and nothing extra.


• Use preview for large batches — it's cheaper to catch a wrong filter on screen than on 40 sheets of paper.


• If a print run asks whether to include cancelled orders, choose Skip unless you specifically need them — cancelled items don't normally belong in production paperwork.
