The Item Tracker

The Item Tracker is your production work
list. Instead of showing you whole orders, it breaks every open order
down into the individual items that need to be made —
one row per cake or product — and gathers them all into a single list
you can filter, work through, and print from.

If your job is to make things, this is your screen. It answers the questions the floor asks all day:

• What has to be made, and by when?


• Whose cakes are these?


• Is this one finished? Has its paperwork printed?


• Where is this item right now, and who has it?

Who it's for

• Decorators and bakers — pull up your own cakes for the day and check them off as you finish.


• Production leads — see the whole shop's workload for a date, who owns what, and what's behind.


• Counter and packing staff — confirm an item is made, print its paperwork, and see where it is.

What you can do here

• Finding your work — narrow the list to the exact items you need to work on.


• Sorting your list — change the order the list is shown in.


• Marking items finished — check items off as you complete them.


• Checking items in and out — track who has an item and where it went.


• Viewing item details and photos — see full cake details, tiers, and photos.


• Tagging items for batch actions — select several items and act on them together.


• Printing from the Item Tracker — print order forms, cake tickets, and labels.

Good to know

• Only open orders appear. Cancelled and closed orders drop off the list automatically, so what you see is live work.


• The list shows main items only. A tiered wedding cake shows up as one row, not one row per tier. Open the item's details to see the individual tiers.


• It's a workspace, not a report. As you mark items finished or move them, the list reflects reality right away.
