Finding your work

The Item Tracker can show every open item in the
shop at once — which is rarely what you want. The filters at the top of
the screen let you narrow the list down to just the items you need to
work on right now. Set the filters, and the list updates to match.

Filter by date
Most of the time you're working toward a due date, so start here.

  • Use the date quick-picksToday, Tomorrow, or This Week — for the common cases. (Which day your week starts on follows your company's settings.)

  • Or set a date range by hand: a start date, an end date, or both. Leave one side open to catch everything before or after a date.

The list shows items by the date they're required, not the date the order was placed.

Narrow it down further
Once you've set a date, layer on any of these to focus the list:

  • Store — show only items for one location.

  • Quick search — type part of an item's description to find it.

  • Category / Subcategory / Department — show only items in a product group.

  • Search type — switch between All Cakes and My Cakes. My Cakes shows only the items assigned to you as the decorator.

  • Item type — show All items, only Custom items, or only Non-custom items.

  • Item status — show only Finished or only Unfinished items.

  • Made-in location — show items made at a specific production location, or everything made In Store.

  • Order type — filter by how the order leaves (pickup, delivery, and so on).

  • Order number — jump straight to the items on one order.

Common ways people use it

  • "My cakes due today." Set the date to Today, search type to My Cakes, and item status to Unfinished. That's your to-do list for the day.

  • "Everything the shop owes for Saturday." Set the date range to that day and leave search type on All Cakes.

  • "What's still not done for tomorrow?" Date to Tomorrow, item status to Unfinished.

  • "Find one specific cake." Type part of the description into quick search, or enter the order number.

Tips

  • Filters combine — each one you add makes the list narrower,
not wider. If a cake you expect isn't showing, one of your filters is
probably excluding it. Clear filters one at a time to find the culprit.

  • If the list is empty, check the date and item status first — those two catch people most often (for example, an item is already finished but you're filtered to Unfinished).

  • Remember the list only ever shows open orders. A cake on a cancelled order won't appear here no matter how you filter.
