Once you've filtered the Item Tracker down to the
work you care about, you can change the order the items are listed in.
Sorting doesn't change which items show — only the order they appear in.
How to sort
Click a column heading to sort the list by that column. Click
the same heading again to reverse the direction (ascending ↔
descending). The list re-orders right away.

What you can sort by
- Customer name — group a customer's items together.
- Order number — keep all the items from one order side by side.
- Time — sort by when items are due (date and time required). Best for working a day in order.
- Order type — group by how the order leaves (pickup, delivery, and so on).
- Item — sort by product, grouped by category and subcategory. Good for making the same kind of thing in a batch.
- Location — sort by where items physically are.
- Decorator — group each decorator's items together.
- Production location — sort by where items are being made.
- Finished — separate what's done from what's still outstanding.
Tips
- Sort by Time to work a rush in due-date order — the earliest deadlines rise to the top.
- Sort by Item when you're batching: all the same product lands together so you can make them in one go.
- Sort by Decorator when a lead is handing out the day's work.
- Sorting and filtering work together. Filter first to get the
right items, then sort to put them in the most useful order for the
task at hand.
