Register Drawers

Register Drawers are BakeSmart’s digital representation of a cash drawer till. BakeSmart asks how much money is in the till when a Register Drawer is opened at the beginning of a shift. All payment activity that goes through that Register Drawer throughout the shift is tracked. When the Register Drawer is closed at the end of the shift, those transactions are tallied, and the user is prompted to count the cash in the drawer. BakeSmart will tell you if you are over or short for the till.

Always Require A Drawer To Be Open

When set to yes BakeSmart will require a drawer to be opened before a user can enter the Point of Sale. When set to Local Setting BakeSmart will look at the stations local settings to determine if the station requires a drawer to be open. (Local Settings are set in Settings > POS Manager Menu > Station Preferences)

Cash Drop Level

BakeSmart will alert users that a Cash Drop is required when the amount of cash collected exceeds the Cash Drop level

Allow Only One Drawer Per Station Per Day

When checked, BakeSmart will restrict each station to one open drawer per day

Set Drawer Date To Next Day’s Date By Default

When checked, BakeSmart will change the date field on the Open Drawer dialogue to the next day’s date

Automatically Fill in Non-Cash Payment Method Counts

When checked, BakeSmart will automatically fill in non-cash payments on the Drawer Count screen.

Count Up Next Day’s Float When Closing Drawer

When checked, BakeSmart will open a screen to count up the next day’s float after the drawer has been counted.

Print Count Receipt For Next Day’s Float

When checked, BakeSmart will print a receipt showing the count of all denominations left in the drawer for the next day’s float

Print Over/Short, Bank Deposit Receipt

When checked, BakeSmart will print a receipt showing if the drawer was over/short and the total for the bank deposit from this station.

Print Z Report When Closing Drawer

When checked, BakeSmart will print a Z report when the cash drawer is closed

Display Warning Before Closing Drawer

When checked, BakeSmart will display the input warning and verify the user wants to close the drawer before allowing the drawer to be closed

Drawer Withdrawals

Require Reason For Drawer Withdrawal To Be Entered

When checked, BakeSmart will require the user to enter a reason that money is being withdrawn from the drawer when a drawer withdrawal is made. Preset reasons can be entered into the list below the setting.

Open Cash Drawer

Require Reason For Drawer Withdrawal To Be Entered

When checked, BakeSmart will require the user to enter a reason when the drawer is being opened. Preset reasons can be entered into the list below the setting.
