Pricing

Product Prices Include Taxes

Checking this box will make BakeSmart assume taxes are included in all product prices

Pricing Levels

BakeSmart allows up to 12 individual price levels. When creating a price level you will need to assign a Name, Type and Rate, if applicable. The name for your price level can be whatever suits your business but we commonly see names like Retail and Wholesale.

There are 3 types of price levels:

  1. Manual Entry - The product price is simply entered on the product record for its accompanying price level. There is no Rate for this type of price level.
  2. Markup from Cost - If BakeSmart is set up to cost your products then you can choose Markup From Cost and place a whole number in the rate column to represent your markup percentage.
  3. Percentage Discount - BakeSmart will use the number placed in the rate column to discount your retail price and create this price level. For example, you could put 10 in the rate column and set a wholesale price at a 10% discount of your retail price.

Calculate  Product Packaging and Overhead Costs

There are two options here:

  1. Fixed Percent: Choosing this option will allow users to add a customizable percentage to each product to account for costs of packaging and overhead.
  2. Manually: Choosing this option will require users to select specific packaging for a product. This is the option to use if you are interested in tracking your packaging.
