Company Info Settings

Before going live with BakeSmart in your bakery there are some basic settings that need to be configured to ensure that the system operates the way you want it to. This section will walk through all of the screens and steps involved in configuring BakeSmart before going live with the system.

To get to the settings section of BakeSmart go to Menu > Settings > Company Info

Company Info

Company & Logo - Information about your business as well as a place to add your logo. Your logo will be added to digital receipts.

Labor & Commission Rates

Enter job titles and hourly rates as well as commission rates for sales. Labor rates will be used when costing your products and commission rates will be used to calculate commission for any sales team members that receive commission.

Departments

Set up departments to be assigned to products. The departments are then used as criteria in reports. To add a new department simply click the green plus sign and type the Department Title.

Central / Production Store

Sets the store to be used for production if you are using the centralized production feature.                                                

Week Starts On

Sets the day the week starts on. Used in time card reports and production or product reports run by week.

Security Time-out

When set BakeSmart will automatically log out after a period of inactivity

Quick Search Method

Standard or Type Ahead. We suggest you leave this at Standard as it performs better.

Language

English is the only language available in BakeSmart right now

Disable Running Scripts On Server

Only alter this if instructed by a BakeSmart support technician

Automatically Assign Customers Account Numbers

Check if you want BakeSmart to automatically fill in the account number of a newly created customer account

Local

Station Code

Code that identifies the current station in the system. Used in reports, logging of sales and orders. Should be no more than 3 Alpha characters (no numbers).

Store

Store the station is assigned to. This will affect the pricing, taxes, and products available to purchase on this station.

Archiving

Archive Closed Tickets

Enables Archiving in BakeSmart

Last Ticket Archive

Displays the date up until which archiving has been completed

Logging

Keep Log Records For: _________Day

By default this is set for one year (365 days)
